| Is he getting the same treatment that Thad, Speights, and LW got before Stefanski forced the coach to play them? |

EJ wants the "core" guys to play as much as possible. Jrue has to sit and learn behind guys like Ivey and Green. |

Uh, he's not good enough to play NBA ball (yet, we hope). Let's not act like this is travesty. Every scout from here to the moon said he was a project. His college numbers were nothing impressive. His minutes show a guy who's willing to d-up but looks out-of-his-league for now. And as another thread reminds us (Lenny B), kids need to be introduced carefully and slowly into the league. |

that's strange; all the scouts i've talked with say he should be starting; (seriously, he and Brandon Jennings have been compared to each other by the scouts for the last couple of years; Brandon got next to no playing time in Europe last year, which was not the brightest of moves, but the Bucks are playing him now and he looks good.) |

I hope he winds up being something. I'm encouraged by his size and his attitude on D. But when every scout and his mother said he won't be ready to play for a couple of years, when he looks okay at some points in games (pre-season and now), and totally lost at other points, when he wasn't even much of a killer in his *one* year of college (when "real" basketball finally gets played) and when those realities are compounded by coaches not dressing the kid...well, I refuse to get all worked up over it. Wake me in three years, and I'll let you know what I think of him. |

| Couldn't agree more Willie Green played 22 minutes and scored 2 points. With that kind of production I would keep him glued to the bench. |

Not sure what you're saying here, but whatever. He scored six, not two. Three for five shooting, three boards, four assists, no turnovers, and a +10 +/- rating. Nice performance from a bench player. He helped the team win. Regardless, what's that have to do with whether or not Jrue is ready to see minutes?

How many times do I have to post why Jrue is not getting any tic?? Its obvious people, HES NOT READY. He clearly should of stayed in school. To say he has to learn from Willie G and Ivey is laughable. The only thing hes going to learn is how to ride the pine from those 2. I leave u people with my famous words, if u can play whether ur a rookie or 40 yrs old u will PLAY. I challenge anybody to name a good player coming into the league that road the bench or didn't dress for games. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN !!!!!!!!!! |

| The coach is going to play the best players now..that's his job. If Eddie Stef wants Jrue to play he will have to force Eddie Jordan hand by making some trades, ala the Korver trade so that Thad could play. |

| Holiday isn't half the athlete or slasher that Jennings is. Not sold on him being as good of a distributor either, though I think he could be. |

coming out of high school each was rated as top prospect by different scouts. heading down the homestretch of this year's draft the two swapped positions more than once in the mocks. jrue finally fell because of a rumored injury concern, which seems to have vanished. (?) granted, Jennings looked great this summer. but I would argue that Jrue plays with better court awareness, and from what little we've seen of him there are definite flashes of cold efficiency. something that green and ivey will never have. i'd rather take a gamble than settle for reliable mediocrity. |

Vito, we all know you are a Jrue hater and still dream about Ty Lawson. There is NO WAY that Willie Green and Ivey should be getting minutes over Holiday. Dude, they had to struggle to beat the Nets, who were missing like 20 players, LOL!!!! Give the rookie some time. I did not purchase the NBA League Pass to see Willie Green and Ivey play prominent minutes on this team. |

"I leave u people with my famous words, if u can play whether ur a rookie or 40 yrs old u will PLAY. Umm, Lou Williams is averaging 17 + per game and playing great for us - he's only 23 and he sat most of his first 2 years want some other examples? Douglas Roberts from NJ was a veteran by the time he got drafted and still spent most of last year sitting and watching Marco bellinelli was an experienced European and sat his first year in GS before getting decent burn now in Tor NOR David West sat a lot his early years Delonte West, Trevor Ariza couldn't get on the court for love nor money, jERMAINE o'Neal, Rashard Lewis, Joe Johnson was so lightly regarded Boston traded him to Phoenix for almost nothing and on and on |

| He is not ready, but I agree he need to get some time to develop. He has some talent but his decision making is no where near where it should be. |

| Some posters say that if he was any good he'd be playing right now. I look at how the team has handled Lou, Carney, Smith, Speights and, to a lesser extent, Thad and see a pattern. I understand the concept of earning pt from the bench, but question how successful it's been, compared to other teams in the league who get their top picks out on the floor. If Jrue was a mistake, trade him. |

Good point... the only way for the kids to develop is to get some playing time. I am not talking 30 minutes a game, but just 10-15 minutes to see how he handles it. I had the same issue with the handling of Speights last year. The Sixers should have given him progressively more minutes throughout the year so that he could make a contributio at the end of the season. I have no idea with the Sixers are doing with their lineup right now. It seems like they do not have a clue. These types of things should have been worked out in preseason.

What's the pattern. Please, tell. Thad never averaged less than 20 minutes a game and gets 35 now. How has he been mishandled? While he continues to look alright, those minutes certainly haven't improved his defense or resulted in a go-to move in the low post. His rebounds haven't really improved. Seems to me he hasn't been mis-handled at all; and, I'm still not impressed by his development. Speights? He got 15 minutes a game last year. Didn't play against better offensive players because they school him. He must have known that, must have been able to read that writing on the wall. And his intensity on D this year still blows chunks. Seems to me he's being handled just fine. This team's suck-a-tude, and the rather obvious limitations of individual players (whether attributed to youth or whatever) MIGHT NOT BE THE FAULT OF COACHES. The team's records, the key stats of players...it's all been pretty middle of the road for a LONG TIME. Smith and Carney? You just plain must be delusional if you think they're big minutes guys who have been mishandled. And Williams? He's gotten plenty of minutes for plenty of years. Didn't see any mishandling there either. He's still a question-mark as a PG, by the way. A pleasant surprise for a few of the games. Predictably underwhelming against a real point guard last Tuesday. Down and out garbage defending the perimeter and a dummy on screens. We'll see. I don't see rotation or minutes problems. I see talent problems. Whatever pattern you see is not at all apparent to me. |
