the only thing of interest to me from the article was (yet another) verifcation that "there was no serious interest from any other team". but you can't convince some folks on this board that he and Larry brown weren't ever going to be star crossed lovers again. that was a phony larry brown trying to be cute production. no truth at all |

It was MeVerson's agent who planted propaganda about interest his client by other teams such as Miami, Bobcats, the Clippers and so on. In reality these teams never had any serious interest in Meverson. There were no other takers. Yes, the LB-Meverson love story was also propaganda. It is interesting to note that there has been no response to the article that I posted from the usual Meverson groupies such as Deadlyduo=Letsgetreal=AnswerA6 and so on. LMFAO! NBA is so boring. The only interesting thing that is happening is the Meverson Grizzlies freak show! Let's sit back and enjoy while it lasts. The Grizzlies must have signed Meverson as a publicity stunt to attract attention.

I love A.I.'s heart and determination, but I think he has become delusional. I think he has too many 'yes men' around telling him he's still the same A.I. from 2000-2001...that's just not the case. His mom or whoever he can truly take criticism from needs to sit him down and tell him the real deal. If he were smart, he would shut his mouth, come-off the bench for the Grizzlies, average 20pts, and by All star break he will have contenders willing to trade for him in time for a playoff run.

>>>His mom or whoever he can truly take criticism from needs to sit him down and tell him the real deal.<<< LOL! Do you realize that you are talking about 34 year old man? It is just too late for mama talk. He is what he is. A talented but self-absorbed selfish scumbag with low bb team IQ. If the Grizzlies don't start him soon, his tantrums will grow exponentially from here. I can't see him willingly coming off the bench and being sixth man in many more games. I think this thing will blow up- mostly in his face. Bottomline- I love this circus!

My man That was great, that was a softball pitch that you knocked out of the park. by the way where is deadlyduo, iversonfan, and the rest of Iverscum Groupie Nation? Its almost sad what this has come to, we try to tell them his true colors but they dont want to listen. HE DID IT TO HIMSELF, NO EXCUSES! |

Hahahaha! Just hear that MeVerson is done with the Grizzlies! His selfish ego has exploded on his face again! LMFA! He has gone back to Atlanta. The Grizzlies were the only 1 out of 30 teams willing to take the risk with him. Now it has become 0 out of 30 now!! Man, the only thing I regret is that the Meverson freak show has ended so suddenly and so quickly. I was just getting to enjoy the soap opera antics of the drama queen. LOL!

I have to admit that I'm stunned that Iverson has bailed out on his team after playing less than 10 games. And I sure as hell hope people realize that nobody is hating on AI,but he is what he is;a selfish, ballhog jerk. Now watch some male borderline groupy come to AI'S defense. He is done. |

Yep, now the groupies will add another coach, another team, another owner to their excuse list. Now it is Sixers, Nuggets, Pistons and Grizzlies. On Grizzley forums, the AI groupies are already badmouthing the Grizzlies management, the coach and the team mates for all of MeVerson's antics and drama there. |

<<The silence is deafening! Still no word from the Iverson groupies! LMAO!>> a) I seriously don't think anybody cares, even the groupies and MOST of his haters...apparently excluding you lol. b) Most of his groupies/haters probably don't post on this message board anymore. c) Most of us are focused on the woes of the Sixers these days and barely able to stomach watching ANY basketball, much less have the energy to still be worrying about AI's shenanigans. Do you even watch the Sixers? Serious question. I think it's sad that at this stage, people are still so caught up with AI and can't find anything interesting to say about our own team, good or bad.

Howya doing my good bro Sabo? I don't get to watch Sixers where I now live. Besides, I have been bored to death with NBA or any other professional sport for that matter. I am more into college sports these days, though like to follow up on the Sixers, my old team. What can we say about the Sixers? Not much, as long as we still are stuck with the likes of Dumblebert. I just want them to play hard and give all they can and get a good draft pick. The AI freak show with the Grizzlies did have a lot of entertainment value. I loved the drama! LOL! As one of MeVerson's haters, I do take particular pleasure at seeing him fckuup wherever he goes so I can get on the groupies and tell them "I told you so"! LOL! |

I can't even bother with following AI anymore. One of my friends still sends me emails with nba news about crazy stuff going on with AI in the league and I just delete it, thinking to myself why does he think I give a eff lol. I want to tell him I really don't care about AI anymore but I don't want to hurt his feelings. This dude was an AI fan like most Sixers fans during his heyday but I just can't wrap my mind around why he still cares. I mean I wish AI luck and wish he could get his act together, but he's a lost cause at this point. The only reason to still be following AI is because the Sixers are so dull. It still says a lot though that so many people still can't stop talking about AI when he's been gone for so long and we have a team of our own that has been struggling to get noticed since his departure. As for the Sixers, Sam hasn't been great, but trust me, he's not even the main problem anymore. Thad and Brand are the new minus brothers (formerly Ivey and Evans). Those two eff up more than Sam could ever dream about effin up and give us the best chance of losing when on the floor together. |

Everyone loves to watch scandals and drama. That is why it is interesting to follow Ai's effups, not to mention to rub it in on the groupies. LOL! I don't give a damn about pro sports much anymore like I said. I will however watch the playoffs and the Sixers, whenever I get a chance. Is your friend pretty dejected about AI's latest antics? How is he taking it? All the groupies were praying for a great Ai show this season with the Grizzlies and be able to tell the haters "we told you so how great he was". They saw the Memphis stint as their last chance to see their God prove his critics wrong. I wonder how many of the groupies have committed suicide this week! We havn't heard from AnswerA6=deadlyduo=letsgetreal in a while. Hope she is not among those who hanged themselves this week! LOL! I knew the AI Grizzly circus wouldn't last for more than 10 games unless the coach went down on his knees and begged AI to start and agree to be his subordinate. Even I am shocked that the AI grizzly honemoon didn't even last past three games! Well, the moral of the story is that a scumbag will always be a scumbag! As for the sixers, I think they should get rid of Brand, DumbleBert, Iggy, Green to start fresh. I wouldn't be as hard on Thad as yet. |

Has this rumor been confirmed? All I've read is: <"Owner Michael Heisley came out and said that Allen Iverson's absence is indeed of a personal nature, and not related to his current playing situation. "I’m not going to get into the personal reason but it has nothing to do with the other stuff," Heisley said. "I’m the guy who said he could go. It’s a real family issue that I don’t think should be reported." Heisley goes on to talk about the parties getting on the same page by saying, "he understands what the conditions are," and that "we need to be less hyper about this along with Allen.""> What if his grandmama is sick or something and here you guys are calling him this and that. just saying. |

I am an Iverson fan (not groupie) and I must say I am really disapponted by the way he's behaving in Memphis really a sad end for a great career, he's being a jerk I hope he somehow realizes he's committing a big mistake, I think he has 2-3 years left at a very good level. Only thing, is he had to accept a smaller role, which is of course the biggest question mark Payton won a ring in Miami at like 37 y/o coming off the bench, I don't see any reason for AI not doing something similar if I were Cleveland, San Antonio, Lakers or some other contending team that I'd give him a final chance, for few $. I think he needs a coach with strong personality and a great resume, Pop would be fine for him If you think Pop would clash with AI, please remember he coached Big Dog... |

i don't know how my friend is taking it, i don't even bother to respond anytime he brings up ai. the only time i responded was when he texted me, "ai isn't good enough to start in memphis??" and i just responded, "nope" lol. in reality, he is good enough to start in memphis. he's good enough to start anywhere. he just doesn't have the attitude start for anybody, and it's very unfortunate. it's sad to see a guy destroy his own legacy the way ai has. i sympathize with him in a way because i know where the rebelliousness comes from, but i always thought he'd be able to seperate "rebelliousness" from "selfishness" as he matured. guess not. if you had been watching the sixers play, you'd be probably be hard on thad also. i'm not exaggerating when i tell you how bad he's been. all he seems to care about is scoring and he can't even do that well. i'd keep ig, he earns his money. he just isn't a superstar, but he's still a very good player, and FAR better than thad in every area. |
