Guy posts this on realgm talking about how we should trade a package of Iggy, Sam, Jrue, JK and a 1st for CP3, Peja, Posey and I think Collison. Another poster says that he undervalues paul by a longshot, and that adding Collison only makes it worse because they'd trade their future PG. He responds with this... "Collison ?...yes. But we are adding Holiday, a guy who is WAY better than Collison will ever be. Collison is a career back-up at best. As where Holiday could end up being better than Paul. He's over 7 inches taller, and just as quick. His upside is unlimited. Dalembert is not a scrub. Way better defensively than Ex-player Tyson Chandler, and can allow okafor to play PF. Kappano = way better than Posey, so I fail to see where this is not value. You are over-valuing Chris paul." Holiday is apparently 6 foot 7 now...he also goes on to say this blasphemous statement... "But please, diagree all you want. Hell, in the end, the sixers will keep Holiday, and in 2 years, he will be ahead of the Paul's and Rose, as well as all other PG's." You wonder why Philly fans get bad reps... |

| That trade makes no sense but what do you expect when the 6ers are about as exciting as a wet noodle.Peja's best days are long gone. |

| I don't really care about the rest of what he said...but saying Jrue will be the best point guard in the nba in 2 years and that he has infinitely more upside than CP3...Seriously? |

It's not out of the question. Holliday's only 19 and is already decent. He's very big and plays nasty defense. And he can shoot. He's smart and he'll improve a lot over the next 2 years. That trade is horrible by the way. We only get one guy back, Paul, and in 2 years he may be only a little better than Jrue. Posey & Peja are DONE. |

Maybe I'm the crazy one...but really? Chris Paul is the best Point guard in the game. He is a good defender, passer, shooter, and leader. He's only 24 and getting better every year. Has there ever been a PG to come out in his 3rd year after playing < 10 minutes per game his rookie year and average 23 Points, 11 assists, almost 6 rebounds, and 3 steals while shooting over 50% from the field? Ill give you an example of what I'm trying to say. Steve Nash's rookie year stats: 10+ minutes per game 3 points 2 assists 1 rebound Steve Nash's 3rd year 32 minutes as a starter 8 points 5.5 assists 3 rebounds His 10th year in the NBA, most comparable season to CP3 19 points 10.5 assists 4 rebounds I just can't imagine Jrue going from his minutes and position this year to an all-star putting up hall of fame numbers in 2 years. Even if he does have that kind of talent, I couldn't imagine him playing 35+ minutes the next 2 years as a starter unless something drastic happens with this roster.

You're right, Paul is special. The only guy who compares as a young point is Magic. And Oscar, who was really more of a LeBron of his time than a point guard. But Magic couldn't score like Paul can. |
