Say it was a bad call! Say Lebron travelled! Say the Cavs talked the refs into reviewing the call! Say that the "unwritten" NBA rule is only to call a hard foul if it decides a game! Or did the Comcast bosses tell you how to handle it!!!!! |

| Bob Salmi is terrible. If he sucks like this next year he will be fired or moved out of the broadcasting both I guarantee it. I want my announcing with a little homerism, not a lot, but some. Salmi is boring as hell and goes out of his way to absolve the referees. Im still waiting for the first bad call by a ref in Salmi's opinion. To me at the end of the game its got to be a pretty blatant foul for it to be called. Devin Brown still had a very good chance of making that lay-up. Its not like he got raked across the arms or something. He got bumped a little and finger-rolled the ball into the bottom of the rim. Imagine what a debacle that would have been if it was game seven of a finals or something like that. |

it's his first year, he has to do what he's told. in other words maybe he's spineless? |

| So why can other broadcasters for different teams back their teams, but Salmi can't? He's a jerk&**! |

It's one thing to be a blatant homer like Tom Heinsohn who literally screams at the refs as he announces. But Salmi needs to imply a bit of a side! He's a Sixer announcer! I don't need to hear him cry bloody murder, I just want him to present all sides of the issue and not the company line. For instance, he doesn't need to incite controversy and say that his highness Lebron will always prevail, but at least during Postgame Live STICK UP FOR YOUR EFFING TEAM!!!!! |

| Never do refs blow the whistle on a put back shot like Brown's as the game ends. However since they replayed the sequence it's clear James took three or four steps before he threw up his shot. As Sammy D tried to rebound James miss Ilgauskas clearly shoved Sammy into Brown who did get the rebound and wound up making the game winning foul shots. Salmi looked at the replay 10 times and never mentioned the walk or the shove. Since the call meant the game the ref could have said the walk or the foul on the Cav's center took place first thus Sixers ball with one second left. |

One of the Sixers also said that the refs disagreed on what to do at the end. What a fluke. Dalembert blocks the ball a couple feet in a different direction and it's the game of the year. |

I'm mad on two counts. 1) we lost 2) I donated those tickets to a youth group earlier in the year, so I wasn't there. I'm not mad at Salmi. He said, there was no whistle so there should have been no review. I think he handled it professionally. Salmi's stock in trade is dispassionate analysis. I enjoy his style. |

| How about the fact it appears Ilgauskas shoved Dalembert in the back of head with a forearm that propelled him forward into Brown? Regardless, do we really want games being decided on calls made two seconds after the buzzer on iffy fouls? Officials can calls fouls on any play they like that doesn't mean they should do it. |

So a good call is one in which the game is initially ruled complete and the opposing team has to convince the reps to check the replay? The refs ended the game and disagreed on how to handle the outcome. Maybe the replay indicated there was a foul, but he circumstances were more complicated than that. I don't think it was a good call. It was the call made and a questionable call. Technically it wasn't the wrong call. |
