Ask Ozzie Guillen and White Sox players like Konerko what they thought of this MTV version of a big league ball player.

How does him saying that make him a bad guy? He wants to win the world series in front of his fans...is that a terrible thing to say?

He bawls after every called strike saying it's high and then stands there like he is the most prolific hitter being stood up by the ump. I can't stand his stupid grin.

Have you EVER seen a ballclub (and one who got a LOT of favorable calls in this series & the whole playoffs for that matter) chirp more about balls & strikes than this Yankees team?

Posada (the catcher!!!), Swisher (his name is also the sound of him swinging & missing), A-Rod, Cano, etc.?

It's just completely annoying. The have a sense of entitlement. That could come back to haunt them.

Swisher played for the A's out here where I live now and I know people that have worked with him on his charity. He's a good guy that just happens to be playing against the Phillies. He was also very nice to my kids when they met him.

i'm not doubting that.. i think he falls into the category of 'guys you love to hate' when they're not on *your* team.

i'm sure i'd love him if he were on the phillies.

i mean.. if i'm being totally fair, he's been a good guy, outside of baseball, and playing well for the yankees... keeping their dugout loose.

but, i guess that's the point of this fan board.. im' not being fair. ;)

I know I am bias here Andy, but come on! the ump in game 5 actually called close strikes on these guys and they could not believe it. Well Joe West does not like to be showed up. Could work in our favor.

In game #2 the ump completely took the bat out of our left-handed hitters' hands. He was calling pitches well over 6" outside as strikes. No excuse for that.

Not to drop names or anything but someone close to me has also worked with CC, who grew up in the North Bay out here and helped him start his charity. He's a good kid, too bad he's a damn yankee. Baseball's a game and it's a business - remember how we all hated on Pedro?

So does John Kruk. I bet so does George Brett, Steve Yeager, Bill Mazeroski.....

Oh, yea, Greasy Neale who not only played MLB but was a beloved Philadephia Eagle.

Sorry, I get a bit defensive as I lived out there for some time. Not everyone out there is a Neanderthal.

Yeah, and if Moyer had been pitching Game 2 we would have had a HP umpire with a strike zone the size of a pea.
