PS, Not putting Francisco in left nearly cost them. He truly, despite being a players manager, is a dumb person. You don't give players time off to heal when your life is on the line. You are playing the NY Yankees here not the Pirates. Unbelievable! It's hilarious his players know what needs to be done but he doesn't. |

I've never been on the side to trash Charlie before, but that was a poorly managed game. we should have never been in a save situation. leaving Lee in for the 8th.. bad. not using bruntlet to buntlet.. bad. taking out victorino without asking him.. bad. not putting in Francisco for D upgrade... very bad. and I was sure girardi would make all the mistakes... we've made it very easy on him. |

| Park had good stuff, bunt Ruiz over and ride him into the ninth. Park was the long guy. Two innings is nothing. Why bring in a guy who one, can't close, Two who typically puts the leadoff hitter on base and three has no heart. If Madson's your guy then I can only respect but disagree with your opinion. |

Phil, Charlie has made mistakes. So does every other manager.
At this moment, he is two games away from winning the World Series. Will it happen, who knows ?
He has a patched up pitching staff, and got them this far.
What in the world do you expect of him ? To worry about dumping Myers ? Who at this time gives a dam- if he goes or stays or goes ?
Right now, that's not an issue. Wait until the Series is decided to speculate. ..9.. |

Victorino or Ibanez weren't going to bat in the 8th, it should have been a no-brainer to put Francisco in left. If Charlie was that concerned about Vic, he should have pulled him in the 2nd inning. Even though the Phils won, why wasn't Eyre out there to start the 9th? I would rather have Posada batting RH and then have Matsui facing the lefty. |

If you think pulling Park after 1 inning and putting in Madson for the save were "boners", than you don't know jack about this team. Keep your Mom dry and invest in some night-time Depends. |

IN DEFENSE of Charlie, we don't know how bad Vic's finger was. While it seemed on TV that it was ok to play with, and maybe even getting a bit better as the game went on, we don't know. What would people be saying this morning if Victorino tries throwing to 2nd base to keep a runner to a single and because of the finger the ball sails and the runner ends up on 3rd? We'd be torturing him for NOT taking out Vic. In that situation Manuel had more information to make his decision on (replacing Vic) than we did. That being said, there have been quite a few questionable moves by Chol. I'm just saying that with Vic, we might not all know the whole story.
