I attended about 40 home games this season. The thing that disturbes me the most are how teams keep trying to bunt on the Phillies. I know Feliz is a quality 3rd baseman when fielding, but slow to react on bunts. This could become a problem in the series with NY. The other problem I believe is the outfield positioning, they rarily move from one spot to another depending on the hitter, left or right handed. I seat in 104, right behind Worth, he is an excellant fielder, with great range. We all know he has a gun for an arm. It's that there is a spot in right fied where he stand that had to be replaced because it was worn out. Just a few thoughts for discussion, Senior 67, "coach"

Good stuff Senior. I don't think the Yankees have enough speed to take advantage of any bunting advantage. The Out field thing, I might have a guess at why they don't move a lot. All the very good change up pitchers. They kind of freeze you out there & if you move around you might tip pitches. It's something to look for. I love the way Werth points to you guys as he rounds first, after a homer.

I understand your reasoning, but some batters couldn't pull a ball if hell freezes over. Do you coach somewhere? I retired from 25 years of coaching high school softball, where a aggressive coach adjusts outfielders every batter. I wish you all the luck in your coaching experience, have fun and do your best to prepare the players for the next level of play. I would be interested in converseing with you about your experiences. I am a 29 year baseball coach & an 18 year football coach. I coach 5 to 15 year olds. I have worked some camps & clinics with older kids. I have about 6 years with 8 to 15 year old Softball & Girls Basketball. Even a half dozen soccer years. (I have coached 12 months a year & sometimes two tems for near 30 years)
At this time I am scouting for a High School football team & coaching a very good 13 U traveling baseball team. I would like very much to discuss stradegies of the game & also the Xes & O's of football if your interested. I am still only a student of the game & always will be.

I'm sorry that I haven't answer you sooner, but I'm going through treatment for Lyme desease. Had 2 years before discovered. Reason I stoped coaching High School. It has corupted my joints, memory, and digestive track. Going for more mind test in the morning. Will get back soon.

No problem , I hope yoe get well. Tomorrow I like Pedro & any gamy 7 is just "MOMENTS & who get's it done. Not even pitchers will lock up that game. I had some questions about a few moves Charlie made (WHEN HE MADE THEM, NOT MONDAY MORNING Q.B). Did not like the taking out of Victorino. Take him out when he hits. Made no sense in the field.
Also I would not close with Madson, it worked but I believe a closers out pitch should be out of the strike zone. Close by commitee, a little Lidge, a little Chan Ho, a little ayers & a little Madson can get you 9 outs easy.
Last, Thursday is Lees Bullpen day, If he says GO then I start Happ on a short leash And THEN RIDE LEE TIL HE SAYS NO. At that point we wing it. Our best weapon is Charlies hunches. Cole is in a mentle funk & frankly Happ looks much better. Hope you get well
