Feeding Philly - Saturday 10/10 @ 11AM
Meet at 1218 Chestnut St. 5th Floor Volunteer just 2 hours of your time this weekend to join Philadelphia area college students and young professionals in making and distributing small meals to the homeless in Center City. This is part of a larger effort to fight hunger and poverty in the Philadelphia area. 25% of Philadelphians struggle below the poverty line and an estimated 22% of adults lack basic literacy skills. The Feeding Philly program seeks to alleviate a small portion of the immediate hunger needs of the city. Combined with other long term initiatives coordinated by the non-profit, Fixing Philly, we can take a meaningful step towards ending the cycle of poverty in this city. Bring your friends!
