| Love how the Sabres newspaper was calling our game all reliant upon our top lines and that the sabres have more depth and on and on....Love that our Fourth stepped up and and put to them....Love the fact that while Montador was chirping at Carcillo he is busy scoring two goals....STevens has tamed him somewhat and made him a better player and deserves praise for this |

| After the game the Buffalo crew were saying the refs should have let Montador get at Carcillo, cause he was going all "Avery" on them. Last time those two fought, well, let's just say it was the Buffalo crew, and not Montador, who really wanted the officials to let them go. el Capitan Cannonista |

I grow weary of listening to any crew and especially Bob Ray who was in the business going on about how the Flyers and the Organization and the fans demand that the team beat up on people from the time of the teams inception, They went on to say it is done to intimidate the other team. They also said the Sabers need to step up and send a message to the Flyers this is our building and you are going to take over. Having said all that if the opposition feel intimidated? that little rap of his could've come straight out of 1974. I mean what year does this guy think it is? It's true we added a couple hard-nosed players in Lappy and Prong, Carcillo - Asham a couple seasons back, and even Emery now - but it's nothing like what it was back in the BSB days. That's what ray was describing, the Broad Street Bullies. He actually said the Flyers could "intimidate you into submission even before the game starts, so once it starts you have to let them know you won't take any of that nonsense." right out of 1974. But he was talking about this year! I was thinking - "damn I wish that WAS still true." Just a total goof. Maybe he's having flashbacks. |
