I like Sabres wearing the home white tonight. League should go back to that.
It's a great day for hockey...it use to be!

Sabers broadcast team just said it was a request by the Flyers.

Sabers said ok as long as they can do the same later in Philly.

Not sure why the Flyers wanted this?

I agree. It makes sense from a marketing standpoint. It creates a diversity in uniform colors for the visiting teams. Rangers bring in blue. Redwings bring in red. Etc, etc. As it is now, it's always white versus the home orange of the Flyers.

What Primeau said...
What Utley said...

I noticed like two minutes ago that they were wearing opposite jerseys.

I agree homes should wear white.

Wonder if someone's jersey was forgotten back in Philly or a jersey was stolen/lost/damaged.

I like when the home team wears their colours. Plus, this change after the 04 season made sense. If the home team wears white, then the road team has to bring their dark AND their white on the road because of the fac that so many teams have alternate 3rd jerseys which are not white.

Orange and Black attack.

You've just been Pronged!

Thank you! Hockey should go back to white at home and color on the road (unless it's an alternate jersey. Football should go back to all teams wearing color at home & white on the road...Skins & Cowboys being the exception since they worse white at home ever since I followed the NFL. Nothing wrong with a little consistency.

I agree 100 percent. Season-ticket holders see the same thing at almost every game - Orange vs. White. It was a lot more fun seeing the visitors draped in their various team colors.

They probably know none of us care about the black jerseys, but they are already committed to using them so much this year.

i have to disagree. When your home, you show more of your colors. But its not a fashion show, drop the puck.

The Flyers have to wear those stupid Black Jerseys 12 times this year until they dump them. Hopefully they wear them only on the road 10 more times. Then good riddance.

Uh I think you mean WEAR white.

And I don't agree at all. In your building you wear the color that represents your franchise, not the color that represents every single team in the entire NHL.

Who cares, 12 games a year is nothing.

And when you are watching on tv, what does it matter if they are wearing a black jersey on the road or at home?

The Orange and Whites are easier on the eyes. Those Black jerseys they have now are really, really bad.
Bottom line is to Win , of course.
