On Aug. 12 the Inquirer will publish a list of the 5 biggest plays in Eagles history. Which one sticks out most in your mind?

| Monday Night, Randall Cunningham against the Giants. Harry Carson (?) thought he took Randall out. Randall balances himself on two legs and one hand, rights himself and throws to (?) for a TD. |

November 19th, 1978 Eagles vs Giants at the Meadowlands Herman Edwards recovered a fumble with seconds remaining and no time outs to stop the clock. All the Giants had to do was knee down for the final play....instead they handed off to Larry Csonka and gave Herm the chance of a lifetime. Remembered by most as the Miracle in the Meadowlands. |

In recent memory.... To steal from nfl.com's description of the play: <<2:37) (Field Goal formation) N.Kaeding 40 yard field goal is BLOCKED (Q.Mikell), Center-D.Binn, Holder-M.Scifres, RECOVERED by PHI-M.Ware at PHI 35. M.Ware for 65 yards, TOUCHDOWN.>> San Diego/Philly 2005 I still don't believe it.

4rth & 26 for personal reasons. I was at the game with my brother. My father was a big Lombardi/Packer fan so seeing the Eagles take on the mystique of the Packers in the playoffs was great and with my brother. (My father passed away a fews early or he would have been there.) We had a great day talking about dad and doing the memory lane thing a little bit. Anyway, it was a special day for me and my brother culminating in an unbelievable ending. Keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And... Always look on the bright side of life. -->-->-->

The plays that I remember most are: 1. 4th and 26 2. The Miracle in the Meadowlands 3. Eagles stop Emmitt on three successive plays 4. Randall Cunnnigham to Fred Barnett TD after avoiding a Bruce Smith sack, which would have been a safety 5. Keith Byars block of Pepper Johnson

I wanted to think about this one because there are so many (especially in that season) but the first to enter my mind as I read your post was the same Randall / Banks play. I guess that's hands down the best.... I also liked Clyde the Glide taking it to the end zone on a blocked kick to beat the Giants. Beer is the reason I get up every afternoon. |

"Mkat and big took mine.Randall ducking Bruce Smith and hitting Fred Barnett" That was mine, too. I still never know how Buffalo didn't come up with the safety on that play...it was like Randall had eyes in the back of his head! |
