| I posted about the same thing in the "First Pierce, Now Mosley" thread. Why can't these guys wait until after the Eagles play them to bring out these remarks. Harbaugh said that in March. And it's only being written about now? |

Can't really argue with what Harbaugh said. Although, I think having Dave Campo and Chan Gailey as the head coaches had a fair amount to do with the Cowboys' failures in the past decade. Reid's Eagles in the last 5 years have been no better than Dallas and actually have a worse won-loss record than Dallas. Since 2005: Philly 38-32-1 Dallas 45-26-0 Anyway, who cares what Reid's lap dog has to say. Harbaugh beat the Eagles easier than he beat the Cowboys last year. |

>>>Really? Said in March. Huh.<<< Yeah, according to the article it was anyway. It was in a book that was written by Reuben Frank and Mark Eckel titled "Game Changers: The 50 Greatest Plays in Philadelphia Eagles Football History." It's the last sentence in the third paragraph. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/11338/harbaugh-blasts-cowboys-in-new-book Asked why the Eagles have had so much success from 1999-2008 and the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game during that period, Harbaugh had this to say: "Why is that? Because what Andy Reid and his program stand for is the opposite of what the Cowboys stand for. The Cowboys are a star system. It's all about building around individuals first and collecting talent, collecting great players. Andy has always been about building a team. And over the long haul, it's a team sport, and one of the greatest examples of that is what's happened with the Eagles and the Cowboys over the last 10 years. The Cowboys stand for everything that's wrong with the NFL." Harbaugh spent nine years with the Eagles as a special teams and secondary coach before becoming the head coach in Baltimore in 2008. Obviously, his dislike of the Cowboys hasn't faded over time. Harbaugh made that comment last March. Of the 50 greatest plays selected by the authors, 11 of them occurred in games against the Cowboys. Harbaugh was involved in the Pickle Juice game at Texas Stadium on Sept. 3, 2000. It was his idea to open the season with an onside kick, which the Eagles recovered to set up a touchdown drive. The Eagles won that game, 41-14, and Harbaugh was given a lot of credit for his daring idea. It was called the Pickle Juice game because the Eagles drank the stuff to overcome the Texas heat. The temperature soared to 109 that afternoon. I just thought you guys might enjoy that quote during Eagles-Cowboys week.

| It's sad that Dallas has not been able to live up to the "Gold Standard" in Philly. lol |

>>>It's sad that Dallas has not been able to live up to the "Gold Standard" in Philly. lol<<< Coqboys haven't lived up to any kind of standard since before the turn of the century. Their standard has fallen so low over the last 13 years that most Coqboy fans would be happy with a playoff win. |

"most Coqboy fans would be happy with a playoff win." Funny, that is all that you have been able to celebrate in the entire modern NFL era. A few playoff wins. You do know that there is actually a point to winning playoff games don't you. You eventually want to win enough of them in a row that you bring home a trophy. There have been 43 Superbowls and the Eagles have yet to win one. The Eagles are like the 43 year old virgin that is happy about getting to first, second, or third base and never reaching home plate. lol |

Not the coaches. Not the players. And not the fans. I can't tell you how many times I've read that we wasted some years by not winning a SB. Yet I've also read about how much talent the Coqboys have had the last several years. All that talent squandered. The Eagles accomplished more while rebuilding the team over the last 4 years than the Coqboys did with an established team.

| Well, he's Reid's protege. I don't expect him to say anything less. But, as a Cowboys fan, I can't say that his assessment is too far off the mark. If Jones wants to prove him wrong...then win consistently and return the franchise back to prominence. |
