If you were the playcaller....how many carries on avg would you try to get each back...each game?

B-West
Shady
Buckley
Weaver

for s***s and giggles...toss in WR and Vick carries also if that's part of your plan.

I can't believe this fell on deaf ears.

but the issue with that is RBs deal in volume...and with just 10 rushes it's hard for most RBs to make an impact. I would almost believe one of the RBs needs to be a primary 15-20 carries, while the 2nd guys has to live with maybe 5-10...and a guy like Weaver just gets in short yardage and quick FB carries where he can.

I would actually make an effort to get 2 or 3 WR handoffs in a game. WR reverses really mess up quick attacking Ds.

Westy can't take more, and Lesean can. I really think that Westy should get five, Lesean fifteen, with the same five for Weaver. I don't think AR does that.

Actually I would hope that it would work more that way with Shady getting the bulk of the runs and leaving B-West to line up as the 2nd RB from time to time or as a WR in the slot.

I think AR should actually run more formations with 1 WR and 2 TEs and 2 RBs than he does. Especially since B-West can always split out.

I've been calling for the two TE thing for a while, we don't have a good second Te. F'n AR. We don't have a good blocking Te.

Even if they can't block all that well. We probably get some favorable match-ups in the passing game thru the alignment.

I'm gonna go with a 30 carry avg.

McCoy gets 15-18
Westbrook gets 9-12
Weaver gets 3-6

Take away some Weaver carries for some DJack reverses.

actually i dont really like that reverse. teams are looking for that now. but to answer your question. i want the ball in djax's hands as much as possible. dmac's 2 carries is to keep then honest.

I wanna keep him healthy for the playoffs and use his recieving skills. I'm starting to think Westbrook partly the reason why Reid doesn't run.

<<<I'm starting to think Westbrook partly the reason why Reid doesn't run.>>>

I think it's a multi-facet issue...

I agree that B-West being fragile plays into this.

I believe AR/MM really look at screens and certain short passes as runs.

offensive inconsistency plays a part (passing on 1st down)

plus AR/MM faith in 5. They count on him when things aren't quite going right.

iceman11 if they plan to run 32 times going in, I see no reason for this offense NOT to be explosive.

i agree,32 carries demonstrate a committment to the run game. a committment to it opens up things for djax, maclin, and celek all day long!

Funny how so many are complaining that the Eagle's don't have "sustained ball control" drives, but don't want to acknowlege that it starts with a running game.

It's the running game, in addition to the screens and mid level passing attack in the middle to Celek and Avant that sets up the deep play.

However, if teams think they're going deep, then so be it.

That said, I'm not going to complain about the big play. Can't expect DJax, Maclin or whomever to say..."alright, got to sustain a drive so I'll run out of bounds here."

Excluding kneeldowns and QB sneaks, I go with 32 designed running plays.

McCoy - 12
Westbrook - 12
Weaver - short yardage and goal line - 4
Jackson - 1
Buckley - short yardage - 3

I also look for a flea flicker at some point.

ah...someone goes 4 RBs by design.

I'm just not a fan of spreading the wealth around that much.

once again no love for Vick :-)
