If the Phils lose to the Yanks, you will lose to two of America's Teams. I'm rooting for the Phillies, but it doesn't look good. As far as my Boys are concerned, they'll win handily. The Birds haven't beaten anybody and lost to the lowly Raiders.

Hey fly,
The Rangers here haven't seen October baseball since the Yanks swept them in the 1st rd. around '97. No WS action to date.

He's a typical cowgirl bandwagon jumper. Figured the Phils had a chance and hoped on their bandwagon...now the Yanks are up and about to close out, and he's yapping about "America's Team". No one calls the Yanks that.

3 years ago NOBODY had any Phillies shirts in Philly. A few wore them proud but for the most part when they went to the post season on 07 everybody jumped on the Phillies band wagon in Philly.

If you think I'm lying, remember Jimmy Rollins famously called Philadelphia baseball fans "front runners."

Rollins had his head up his arse, whats he know, was he here for all those losing seasons, year after year?

well, the fans were. Wearing shirts doesnt mean squat. I followed the phils closely for about 15-20 years never had one piece of clothing. I finaly got a tee shirt about 3 years ago and ironically, I dont even watch them at all.

going by people wearing shirts is just nonsense. front runners are dallas fans in the philly area that never lived in texas for any decent length of time (say 5 years min) they jumped on them because they were on TV and they won. same with yankees fans, biggest frauds on the planet. unless you've grown up in NY, your a front runner if your a yanks fan. same front runners types were bulls fans, redwing fans, laker fans etc.

hey bob dallas won't win handily; they're not even calling this game a "must-win" in dallas, more of a "must-play well" game to try and atleast atone for last year's 44-6 beatdown--which is on their minds though none of them will admit it; they'll come in and play it tight for about a quarter--soon as we pop a big play and/or turnover off of dallas, romo will will wilt just like last year

Typical Philadelphia loser Cowboys fan. I only root for winners. That's why you are rooting for the Phils. Now that they lost to the Yanks will you root for the Yanks because they won. Loser Loser Loser.

The Phillies were supported well even when they stunk in the mid 90s - early 2000s.

The reason Rollins called the fans front runners was because the fans called them out for "choking" and soiling their pants whenever someone even mentioned the word "playoffs" around them.

It wasn't until THE TEAM matured enough to put for a solid effort and MAKE the post season that the national media caught wind of the fans. Phillies fans withstood the down years of the 80s, 90s and pre 07 seasons.

And even if they're team wasn't winning, they didn't run out and put on other team's gear as if those teams were theirs all along like cowgirl fans do.

If they called this a "must win" in Dallas, and lost as is likely, then the Cowboys fans' fragile egos would be shattered.

Philly fans are a much tougher breed than that.
