What are your top three games/moments of the Andy Reid Era against the Dallas Cowboys?

1. Pickle Juice Game - Opening onside kickoff is symbolic of how things started.

2. 44-6. That game as a whole just really was awesome.

3. Beating Owens in his return. The city was so crazy for that game.

Rememver the endorsements the Eagles got after the game?

Is that the meaning of your screen name?

My top-7:

7. Even though we were already out of playoff contention, we went into Dallas in week 16 of 2007 and upset their sorry azzes. (score? 10-6 sound right?)

6. Even though we came up short when it was all said and done, both teams put on a SHOW during the Monday night game of week 2 last year. It will always be remembered for D-Jax's bone-headed, pre-touchdown toss of the football...

5. Opener in 2000: Donovan's first full season as the starter got off to a BANG, as we dominated Dallas, IN Dallas, from the very start. The game ended 44-13, and was highlited by a game-opening onsides kick and an INT return for a TD by Trotter.

4. T.O.'s return home: This game was full of twists, turns, and plenty of big plays (much like that entire 2006 season), and ultimately, a big FK YOU to T.O. when we won.

3. Christmas day of 2006, Jeff Garcia-led Eagles go into Dallas and do what everyone said they couldn't do: Not only beat the division-leading Cowboys in their house, but also finish off a 3-0 NFC East road trip that was supposed to be their undoing. It was a very improbable win, and the dominating way in which they won was even more impressive. Also, the win again served as a nice kick-in-the balls to Team Obliterator. The 2006 squad remains my second favorite Eagles team behind the 2004 team, only because 2004 was our SB year.

2. 44-6: After a day of improbable events, the Eagles had the opportunity to play for a playoff birth against the hated Cowboys in the final week of the 2008 regular season. Better yet was the fact that the Cowboys were shotting for that same, final playoff birth. Well, the Birds, after seemingly taking themselves out of the playoff picture a week earlier with a HORRIBLE loss in Washington, made the most of their second chance. At halftime, the score was 27-3. When it was final, the "44-6" became a phrase that will forever be etched in the minds of both Birds and Cowboys fans.

1. Donovan's 14+ second scramble on MNF in 2004: While watching live, I couldn't decide which was more impressive: Donovan eluding seemingly 15 Dallas defenders in the backfield, or his launching of a 70 yard BOMB while on the run. I was in complete amazement as I watched that play unfold. The Eagles went on to KILL the 'Boys in that one, 49-21, as Don threw 3 TDs to the afore-mentioned Terrell Owens...

Hope you like the list, lotta great memories...

Why was the 2000 opener deemed the "Pickle Juice Game?"

Yes.

It was so hot that Duce Staley and others drank pickle juice on the sideline.

You must be young.

The trainer gave the players pickle juice to keep them hydrated (Old school / old country / old wives trick).
It was real real hot that day.

Wasn't there a Vlasic endorsement afterwards?

And like Tom Landry once said, "No one would ever be stupid enough to open a game with an onside kick, I'll bet my life on it."

Thnx, Birdman...that 2006 team had that intensity and passion that I love seeing in my teams....also, the way in which guys such as Dawkins, Runyan, Garcia, Trent Cole, and Westy took their games to another level to compensate for Donovan was awesome to watch...then to win their first playoff game and go to NO and almost upset the Saints, that was a special year...

Unfortunately we tried it the next year with Parcells and it was the reason we lost.

Don't be afraid of Kolb. It's only progress.
