Nothing wrong with making a profit. It's when you make a profit at society's detriment (like Oil companies have) that problems arise.

| People work to make money... at least the majority do. So, if Al Gore makes money while working to make the environment better, then so be it. That goes for anyone else too, whether they are Democrat, Independent or Republican. The key here, is that he is doing good things for the environment... keep that in mind you right wing, stuck up bastard. |

I give Pickens credit for what he's doing... I invest carefully in green technologies that I think will work, because I want to make money in them. Though when I clicked on this thread, I thought it would be about Frank Gore. Jesus hates the Yankees |

As usual, not factual, and a talking point for the extreme whacko righties. Just say "First Green Billionare" it will stick, even though it isn't true. Just like Death panels. Take the hook out of your mouth, sucker. |

I always liked Gore, but he gets hurt so darn much thats killing what would be an otherwise good career. when healthy he's a very good RB IMO " Civilazation exists by geological consent, subject to change without notice." {Will Durant} |

Kind of cute the way you cropped 'after investing heavily in green energy companies' out of the title of the article. Puts a different light on it, doesn't it. Is there a problem in investing in profitable companies? I thought that was what all of you conservatives, oops - independents, do.

| He doesn't know who Frank Gore is. He kind of migrated over here after becoming the laughing stock of the News Forum. He's looking for a new audience. |

Yes, that damn no good, Nobel Peace Prize winning, nature loving environmentalist, liberal humanitarian should be condemned to poverty for sure. What this country needs is another Bush in the White House. You are sooooo smart! I wish I could be you...I really do! |

| No argument there skippy. Funny thing though one of these posters ripped Pickens, whom I support, for making money off of wind power, or at least trying to. Making money is a bad tings in the most extremist LIB's mind. |
