I cannot be too specific but there is a person I have spoken with who is in the know in Cleveland who told me of the following. There were various reports on Winslow and his fallout with the front office of the browns and his subsequent trade to the Bucs.
Here is the true story
As you may or may not know Winslow had a staff infection and was at odds with the front office when it happened. As you may also know, a few players have also acquired staff infections that played for the Browns and there has been some concern over the complex and its being the reason the players have received them.
Long story short, Winslow gets a staff infection but not at the Browns complex, it was common knowledge where he got it, he acquired it in the back room of a strip bar while having unprotected anal sex with a stripper. Again it was common knowledge to the team, when the word drifted back to Winslows wife he tried to have the browns front office tell her directly that he got it when in the complex. obviously since the browns are trying to put the stigma of guys acquiring infections behind them they told him no way. He saw that as a slap in the face. that is the reason for his issues with the FO and why he had to be moved to tampa. This is the truth, i cannot reveal the source and have no reason to lie. Just thought it was an interesting dirty little story I would share with you guys.

Men have to stick together in situations like these. We're all pigs, and at some point we're gonna need other men to help us out with alibis. The owners should have gone along with Winslow's story. Bad form as far as I'm concerned. |
