| I give him a pass for yesterday. I think he's done pretty well prior to his injury and I think going up against Osi, one of the best speed rushers, with lingering ankle and knee injuries is a tough thing. I'll see next week vs. Ware and the next time they play the Giants before passing judgment. Czervik |

at least he recovered the fumble. But yes...the right side has been pretty suspect. 13-9 lost to Raiders means season's over boys....we're just fighting for draft status now. |

I'm not saying he's been an absolute monster this yr, but I also can't point to the fumble that he recovered and say it was all his fault. When I first saw the play, I thought it was a simple 3 step drop, that McNabb pulled and moved to the right.... DeMarcus Ware will be a nice test, especially since Herraman's is back. Did anyone notice on McCoy's long TD run when they showed the replay Peters blocked NO ONE? He tried to get his hand on someone, but they all ran around him and he just kept whiffing. It was funny as hell.. I thought he was suppose to be a monster run blocker? That Skinnies knows football. --------------------------------- McNabb is leaving at the end of this year minus a miracle. That's what this contract indicates to me. Phildogs1 Will he admit to being wrong when DMAC is the QB opening day 2010? I doubt it. |

I think the plays where he does not block anyone are the result of missed assignments. I assume as he becomes more comfortable in the scheme they go away. I think he gets a pass because he missed all that time during camp.

I'll take a beating but I don't care. Yesterday he had Osi on him If I were Coughlin I would be WAY WAY more disappointed in Osis game than Reid on Peters. Osi had 3 tackles & 1 sack , he has also manhandled in the run game. We want to run yeat when we get a L.T. who can who can move people , we don't see it even though we all want to "RUN THE BALL MORE. Osi was not within 10 feet of "5" 95% of the day but we don't see that. He and Herrimans are just starting to Jell & I don't get the problem. Tell me in detail because I was at the game and watched the game in SLOW MOW & I don't see what most of you guys are talking about.Charecter is what you do when people arn't looking |

Indeed, you concur with Reid's chortle in short order, your "Jason Peters WTF " mantle stands for Jason Peters World's Finest Tackle. but presently working @ 75% give a few more weeks conditioning learning the blocking schemes lower temperatures and he's the fat coach's dream. |

most people see that the LDE or RDE get a sack and automatically point to the OT that is lined up against him. Nevermind that a 'chip block' was supposed to be in place to take away the outside or that the QB was supposed to be on a 3 step drop and get the ball out.... if the DE gets a sack, it is always always the TACKLES fault. so they say "The SPORT SAVANT"--NOT Jason "Avant's" fan club President ============================================== The Phillies send a message every once in a while when (The Phillies) lose a couple of games, then start up a big series. moreover, when people are 1) obsessed with our old tackles and 2) wanted to use the picks/money used on a tackle to get some other ROFLMFAO STUD!1!!, there is a definite bias. however, my opinion is that the play of peters (and justice) has been a bit uneven this year. let's hope they continue to jell. ********* Of course the Tonner works, do you think Genny Cream Ale grows on trees? |

uneven is a good word. that word doesn't condemn either player for the lack of cohesiveness on the OL as a whole. lets be honest, many people are stunned that Justice is on this team let alone playing "decently" at RT (which may I add is HIS position at USC). But the LG spot is a revolving door on who starts/who sits and Peters not having Todd H is pretty big deal too. I'm sure more than one blocking scheme had to be trashed b/c of it. <<<But the LG spot is a revolving door on who starts/who sits and Peters not having Todd H is pretty big deal too. I'm sure more than one blocking scheme had to be trashed b/c of it.>>> I'm gonna blame Peters blocking down on the DT and leaving Osi untouched on a retarded line call by someone. But the fact that Peters does get worked 1 on 1 imo quite a bit...falls on no one but him. 13-9 lost to Raiders means season's over boys....we're just fighting for draft status now. |

I am not saying he doesn't get beat (usually to the outside on a longer drop). I was only saying that I think he may have been left one on one at times b/c of the LG situation, in which the play call and deeper QB drop USUALLY called for a chip or double.
